Although founded on the notion that people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities have a right to live in their own homes in their community, Chesapeake Neighbors believes in affordable, accessible housing for everyone. Housing is the foundation of everything in a person’s life.
Our Impact
Chesapeake Neighbors grew out of a need to enable people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to rent or own homes – ultimately achieving independence in the community of their choice. Our primary goal is to promote and support the availability of statewide opportunities for safe, affordable, and accessible housing.
Access to safe, affordable, and quality housing shouldn’t be a luxury. It’s a right. Chesapeake Neighbors aims to expand quality, affordable, accessible housing for all.
